Our feed bill runs into the hundreds of dollars every week.
This is due to two things- #1 due to the drought, hay is still very scarce and expensive, and shows no sign of getting better!
# 2 Ethanol gas
uses corn, therefore corn is being crammed into gas tanks, diverted away from the livestock feed market, and driving our prices higher (and also farmers out of business!)
As it is, our feed costs have more than doubled in the past year.
